Living in a human world can be demanding for horses. Their welfare has a strong link to the amount of stimulation they can handle, and there are risks involved for horses and humans if the demands exceed their capacities. Assessing the horses’ comfort or level of tension on a subtle level is a neccessity. It is equally important to work on mutual understanding, fine tuning communication and understanding, and expanding the horse’s window of tolerance, so they can live fear-free within their captivity conditions with their curiosity, impulse to explore, and individuality intact.

Join us for this event featuring Rachaël’s ground-breaking work in reading and responding to equine language signs and calming signals, and offering mental stimulation through scentwork. Sarah will provide relevant trauma, neuroscience, somatic, and attachment-based teachings to deepen student integration of the material.

Program Details

This special course series is made up of a 3-day online webinar and an optional 2-day in-person seminar, with video and photo examples, lecture, demonstrations, and experiential practice.

Students may register for the Part 1 online webinar without taking the Part 2 in-person seminar. Students attending the in-person seminar must have taken the part 1 online webinar first (whether live or by video recording).

Spots are limited for the in-person seminars, and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Student Cancellations

You are eligible for a 100% refund if cancelling more than 90 days before the first day of the calming signals and scentwork webinar or seminar, and a 50% refund if cancelling between 60-89 days before the first day of the webinar or seminar. A $100 CAD administrative fee is applied to process refunds. No refunds are possible for cancellations that occur in the 59 days before the first day of the webinar or seminar.

Instructor/Venue Cancellations

On occasion, a calming signals and scentwork online webinar or seminar may be affected by reasons beyond our control, such as due to instructor illness or emergency, an issue with the venue, or a technical issue (e.g., an internet, power, or Zoom service outage). In these cases, we may need to adjust some or all of the dates of a particular webinar or seminar. The revised dates may not work with your availability. Depending on when the module was affected (before or after it began), the following options are possible:

If you are unable to attend the revised dates of the online webinar live but are willing to watch the recordings, no refund will be provided.

Alternatively, you may defer your registration and the entirety of your registration fee payment (without penalty or administrative fees, at no additional cost) to a future calming signals and scentwork webinar or seminar taking place in the next year (from the start date of the event in question that was cancelled or rescheduled) to take that webinar if there is space available. We are considering additional dates pending demand, but we can make no guarantees about the availability or dates of future offerings.

If you are unable or unwilling to roll your registration fee to a different calming signals and scentwork webinar or seminar within this 1-year grace period, we will issue a 100% refund due to the inconvenience (if the event had to be rescheduled entirely) or a partial refund (prorated based on the days that you attended before the interruption).
